Lite Sprites Review

by Maggie on September 20, 2011

I jumped at the chance to review the Lite Sprites. This is a brand new toy that has just been released. It looked so cool, I just knew that my 4 year old daughter, Stefania, would love it. Anything that lights up is like gold to her but to be able to change the colors, oh my.

When I opened the toys up, she was so happy to see that she was getting some new toys. I then handed her the wand and showed her how to capture colors, add them to the library, and then use the wand to change the color of the sprites. She was hooked.

She kept grabbing colors off the wheel and anything she could get her hands on and then changing the sprites. There are other activities that you can do but all she wants to do is change the colors for now. She just loves that she can change the colors of everything to the color that she wants with the press of a button on the wand. It’s magic!

She also likes to turn everything on when she begins playing and turning everything off when she is done. She did have some trouble turning the wand off at the beginning. The switch has three positions with the off position being in the middle. She had a hard time getting it to click in the middle. She would end up either going all the way up or all the way down. After a while, she did get the hang of it.

New toys are only played with for about a week in our house because she gets bored very easily. I am happy to say that we are going on our third week and the Lite Sprites are still being played with daily! I would say that this is a must have toy for this holiday season!

About Lite Sprites:  The Lite Sprites live in Lite-Topia, an enchanted land that sparkles with color and light. The Sprites collect, share, and use color and light to express their emotions. The Sprite Sisterhood includes five Sprites, each with a special power:  Prisma, the leader; Astra, the keeper of the skies; Brooke, who takes care of the water; Meadow, who is responsible for the plants, flowers and trees; and Bleak, the rebel Sprite who uses her powers to disrupt color in Lite-Topia. Check them out at, on the Lite Sprites Facebook Page, and @LiteSprites on Twitter.

Product Information:  The brand launched with one Lite Wand, five Lite Sprites (each with her own Forest Pod), four deluxe playsets (Waterfall, Windmill, Flower and Swing), the Tree of Lite Playset, and 21 collectible Lite Pets.

Using the Lite Wand, girls ages 4+ can collect almost any color from nearly any flat surface in their real world environment and magically share it with the Lite Sprites and their world.
